This wallhanging was made for my sister, Sue. When I suggested I would make her a wallhanging she immediately had the 'star' in mind. This star is quilted with symbols centered on the Native American hertitage. |

I took my first quilting class at a Colorful Quilts and Textiles in St. Paul with my quilting buddy, Rose. We used the book Radiant New York Beauties: 14 Paperpieced Projects by Valori Wells for a pattern and inspiration. This project was a blast! |

I created this small project as an award for a volunteer in an adult basic education program. I loved making this wallhanging because the piece took very little time and yet provide me with lots of machine quilting! I will make more of these. |
